Carla grew up as a competitive dancer in San Antonio, Texas. She danced professionally for 10 years with theme parks, local theatres, community productions and traveling companies. She began choreographing professionally in 2004 for multiple theme parks, school and studio dance teams, and theaters around the country, receiving national recognition for her work.
For over 10 years she has directed, managed and choreographed for multiple youth performance and competitive companies before venturing out to form Thrive Dance Collective. Carla's choreography has won numerous high score awards and honors over the last decade. Carla has always been a natural leader and a role model for dancers of all ages. Her passion for the art of dance combined with her love of teaching are what inspire her to create entertaining and challenging choreography.
In addition to her role as artistic director of Thrive, she is the artistic director of Curtain Up Cancer Foundation; a nonprofit organization which brings emotional therapy in the form of art to those affected by cancer, the wife of a talented musician, and proud mother of an aspiring young dancer.
Janine and Chad Diddens are the husband-and-wife operations team behind Thrive Dance Collective, bringing over a decade of active involvement in the dance community to their leadership. As proud parents of three highly accomplished dancers, Janine and Chad offer a unique and valuable perspective—not only as business owners but also as deeply engaged dance parents.
With professional backgrounds in healthcare administration, business, sales, and finance, they provide Thrive with a solid foundation of operational excellence. Their expertise ensures that every aspect of the company is run efficiently, professionally, and with great care.
Driven by a passion for supporting families in the dance world, their mission is clear: "As dance parents ourselves, our goal is to make every family's experience as smooth and stress-free as possible—through clear communication, honest transparency and a genuine desire to guide and support families through their dance journey." Their leadership reflects a deep commitment to creating a positive, supportive, and well-organized environment where dancers and their families can truly THRIVE.
Kimberly Ingram is a native Texan, born and raised in San Antonio. She began her dance journey at six years old and has had numerous performance, competition, and workshop opportunities which fostered her love of dance and paved the way for her dance career. She has trained in all styles of dance but has a special fondness for lyrical and jazz.
For the past 10 years Kimberly has been shaping the lives of children through dance, teaching both recreational and competitive dancers. She is passionate about sharing her love of dance with all of her students. As a dance teacher, she believes it is important for students to feel inspired, confident, and empowered to express themselves creatively.
Kimberly is always looking to expand her skills and knowledge of dance by participating in online classes, workshops, and instructional sessions at regional dance conventions. Kimberly is a graduate from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a degree in Communication. Kimberly is very excited to choreograph and be on faculty at Thrive Dance Collective!
Kahlee Moore has been called a few different things over the years, from Program Director and Social Media Manager to Zoom Host and Dance Captain, just to name a few, but her favorite is being called "Ms. Kahlee." Whether it's community theater or competitive dance, online or in person, Kahlee loves teaching and guiding her students artistic journey. Kahlee has a passion for teaching classical musical theater jazz but one of her favorite genres to explore and teach is contemporary dance. In addition to being on faculty at Thrive Dance Collective, you can also find her teaching at Woodlawn Theater Academy and Premiere Ballet Academy. A graduate with her BA from Point Park University and 20+ years of teaching experience, she is so happy to be a part of the #thrivetribe.
Lexi Wood is a San Antonio native with a lifelong passion for dance and fitness. She began dancing at the age of three and entered the competitive dance world by middle school. To further her training, Lexi attended the North East School of the Arts (NESA), a prestigious performing arts high school, with a focus on jazz and ballet.
Lexi continued her formal training at Texas Tech University, where she contributed as a choreographer for the Vitality Dance Company and served as an instructor at Revolution Elite Dance Studio in Lubbock. Her commitment to physical performance expanded into the fitness industry during her time at Texas Tech, where she became a certified boxing instructor through Nick’s Fight Club.
Today, Lexi combines her expertise in both disciplines to lead dynamic boxing-inspired fitness classes at Rumble and Life Time Fitness in San Antonio.
Lexi is especially passionate about mentoring and inspiring young dancers to reach their full potential, empowering them through positivity, discipline, wellness, and a deep love for the art of movement.
